I am a German executive and entrepreneur with over twenty-five years of international industry and market experience. Markus has lived and worked extensively in Europe, the USA, Brazil and Asia, and is now focused on the Chilean & Latin American market.
As the Founder of GaneshaLab, a portfolio company providing internationalization and acceleration services to Biotechnology startups, I have established a strong team and international network to support Latin America based Biotech startups to scale internationally.

During my 25 year long career in the Life Science Technology industry with leading manufacturers like Thermo Fisher Scientific and Fisons Instruments, I held various leadership positions. I gained significant experience in strategic transitions through market differentiated product innovations resulting in significant value generation, growth and market leadership.
After leaving Thermo Fisher Scientific at the end of 2014, I dedicated my time to expand my experience into the entrepreneurship and early stage investment industry.
As Founding Partner of MGMS Consultancy, I supported the development of international scale-up programs for science and technology based early stage start-ups. The Mission was “Preparing businesses for Global Investments and Growth.
In 2016 I was also elected to the board of directors of Chile Global Angels
(http://chileglobalangels.cl), the most active Angel investment network in Chile.

Based on the results and  feedback received from these initiatives, I decided to found GaneshaLab SpA as a dedicated company.
Today GaneshaLab is an established portfolio company with a total of 1& companies in BioAgro, Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Animal Health and Neutroceuticals in its assets, continuously growing by 5 - 6 startups annually. 
Based on the innovative business model, In 2018 we arised our first small equity fund within GaneshaLab, which is investing in the growth of its portfolio companies.
